The Hope Street Theatre
‘At The End Of Our Street’ is a fresh new Scouse Comedy, which follows the story of Two Brothers ‘Barry’ and ‘Gary’, who grew up in the heart of Bootle and have dreamed of living in the big four bedroom house at the end of their street, ever since they were kids.
When Boring Brian’s Dad finally bites the dust, the house becomes available as the brothers spring into action, working over time selling lemonade, doing what they can to save up for a deposit and fulfill their dream.
However, their plans suddenly come to a halt when they find out that a new Ecuadorian couple (Sofia and Filip), have just moved in and ruined their one shot of finally living in the house they describe as “Something out of Lord of The Rings”
The brothers have the Home Advantage though, and decide to use this in their scheming plans in order to get the new couple not only out of their house, but their city too! With ideas of befriending, by showing them some famous Liverpool hotspots such as The Ironmen of Crosby Beach as well as The Queen’s Knob on The Queen Victoria Statue, whilst also serving them up a delicious dish of Liverpool’s famous ‘Scouse’ stew which is definitely not poisoned. They also go to the extreme lengths of using tactics of scaremongering as well as straight up attempted murder and do whatever they can to claim what they believe is rightfully theirs…
Will the two brothers succeed in their quest to take the house for their own or will the new couple settle in and take the scouse culture as well as made up Liverpool traditions of their new home in well enough for them to stick around?
Co-Directed by Sab Muthari & Lewis Faulkner and Written by Leo Moore, this amazing production is brought to you by a fantastic local team of creatives. Don’t miss your chance to witness the next big Scouse Comedy to hit the theatre!
