A brand-new festival is coming to Cheshire later this year and fabulous entertainment for all the family will be right at the heart of it.
Polo Fest will be held at Chester Lakes on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th September.
Headlining and closing the festival on both days will be Brit Award nominated band Toploader. Since forming in 1997, Toploader have sold over two million albums and had a string of top 20 hits both at home and abroad. Their debut album ‘Onka’s Big Moka’ stayed in the top 5 of the album charts for over six months, whilst their 2000 single ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’ became a global hit spending over a year on the European Airplay Charts.
Saturday’s line-up features award winning comedy singer-songwriter Jay Foreman who sold out a string of shows at the Edinburgh festival. Melanie C will be hitting the decks with her amazing 90s Mix tape DJ set. As part of the biggest girl band the world has ever seen, Melanie C is a house hold name all over the planet. Simon Webbe is best known as the voice behind iconic boyband Blue and will perform a selection from his string of top 10 and number one hits both as a solo artist and as a member of the band.
Sunday’s line-up features the high energy rhythm and blues of popular Cheshire band Zoot Serious and the Bellyful of Bop led by charismatic front man Nick Haggart. Next up is the is a voice which Gary Barlow described as “incredible” - Sam Bailey, winner of the X-Factor in 2013 can count Beyonce as a fan as she supported her on a recent world tour. And before Toploader close the festival we have a real treat – a DJ set from fashion expert and much-loved TV star Gok Wan. Gok has become a firm favourite with house disco bunnies throughout the UK and Europe, bringing his uplifting club beats to packed out dance-floors at some of the biggest venues across the globe.
Polo Fest tickets include some great extras at no extra cost…...unlimited free rides on our mini-fairground and a welcome drink for all (house beer or wine for over 18s only, soft drinks available, no drink will be given to under 5s). Free parking is available at the venue, and your ticket also includes a return trip on our shuttle bus, which runs from Chester Railway Station at the start and end of the event.
Polo Fest wouldn’t be Polo Fest without polo, and professional polo player James Fielding putting on a series of exhibition games throughout the day.
