Pixels Ensemble is delighted to return to The Angel Field Festival with a programme reflecting diverse composers’ expressions of spirituality. From Bach’s late contrapuntal style, through Messiaen’s devoted use of birdsong to Gubaidulina‘a fiendishly virtuosic ‘Rejoice!’ Sonata; these iconic works are at the heart of their composers’ musical philosophy. The concert will also feature short pieces from students at Liverpool Hope University.
