After two tumultuous years, Old Fruit Jar Productions are back and proudly present an evening of three short plays written by homegrown talent! 

 

Climbing From Pluto (Written by Jordan Barkley and Alex Carr)

 

'Have you ever felt like you’re looking up at something you want more than life itself?’

‘Climbing From Pluto’ follows Dan as he journeys through the depths of his own mental health. Isolated in his room, he is visited by 3 guiding lights on his voyage through his own internal battles in a struggle to survive.

 

 

Love Target (Written by Mark Davoren)

Cupid shoots wildly off target when a blind date crosses a planned euthanasia; can he strike love second time round in this farcical black comedy?

 

 

Fractured (Written by Alex Carr)

Following the disappearance of their daughter, Mark and Marie recall the events that followed and how their lives remain fractured forever. 

 

 

The showcase evening stars: Florence King, Christina Rose, Josh Ennis, Anthony Roberts, Rachel McGrath, Jordan Barkley, and Ciara O’Neill. 

 

All three plays are directed by Alex Carr.

 

The evening is rated at 15+ for strong language, mature themes, and themes that some audience members may find distressing.

 

Disabled Access

 

There are 8 steps from Hope Street to enter the building. We currently have an application in process to have a lift installed, however there is not yet a date when this will be completed by. Once inside the building, everything is on one level and there are no further steps. There are accessible toilets. We always operate unreserved seating. Customers who require additional room or support should make themselves known to the Front of House Team on arrival.
