BORDEAUX WINE FESTIVAL AT THE RIVER FESTIVAL 2019
Bordeaux Wine Festival returns as an award winning event, with award winning wines for its 2nd year.
Pairing Liverpool’s finest UNESCO World Heritage Waterfront with Bordeaux’s finest export, the wine festival is anticipated to be even better than its inaugural celebration.
With a promise of more wine from our new French family, and the finest gastronomic pairing from our city’s best food experts, you’re invited to on a journey of indulgence. From crisp Rosés through round Reds, to sparkling Crémant, you have the best of Bordeaux in a glass.
Bordeaux Wine Festival stars alongside Liverpool’s River Festival, a free maritime celebration packed with family entertainment of arts and culture. So sit back, learn about the world’s best wine and enjoy some live music, against the backdrop of one the most beautiful iconic skylines in the world.
Come on a journey of Bordeaux discovery and treat your taste buds –– the best of Bordeaux’s diverse export will be available to enjoy. And in addition to your eight tastings, you’ll be able to purchase additional wine to savour at the festival.
Part of River Festival 2019, an exciting programme of maritime entertainment will take place along the waterfront at the same time. Inspired by the city’s maritime history as an iconic port with historic and contemporary trading routes, the three day festival will celebrate the Port of Liverpool as an arrival and departure base for world class culture, music, food, wine and art.
Ticket holders can enjoy their tastings between 12:00 – 21:00. We anticipate a high demand around peak times 13:00 – 16:00, - to avoid queues, please plan your day around these times. Last entry is 19:00.
In the event of the LFC Champions League parade going ahead on Sunday 2 June and the closure of The Strand, please be advised the event may close earlier than advertised at approximately 16:00.
